The car is moving with a speed of 60 km/hr , travels y km distance in hours . Represent this situation as a linear equation of two variables. And also find the distance travelled when time (i) 5 hours (ii) 10 hours.

Let we use s for speed , d for distance and t for time , then

Speed = s = 60 km/hr

Distance = d = y km

time = t = X hours

We know that

Distance = Speed . Time

y = (x) 60

y = 60 x is the required equation.

Putting values of x, we can find the values of y.

(0 , 0) , (1 , 60 ) , (2 , 120) and so on
