Given :-

  • Car travels a distance is 2040 meters.
  • Time taken to travel is 2 minutes

To Find :-

  • Mean speed of the car

Solution :-

~Here, we're given the total distance and the time taken by the car to travel that distance. Firstly , we'll convert the time into seconds as the distance given to us is in meters. We can find the mean speed by putting the values in it's formula.

As we know that ,

Mean Speed = Total distance covered ÷ Total time taken

____________

Converting the time

⟶ 1 minute = 60 seconds

⟶ 2 minutes = 2( 60 ) = 120 seconds

Finding the speed :-

⟶ Speed = 2040/120

⟶ Speed = 17 m/s

____________

Hence,

  • The mean speed of the car is 17 meters per second.
