Another fairly common fullerene is C70, but fullerenes with 72, 76, 84 and even up to 100 carbon atoms are commonly obtained. In mathematical terms, the structure of a fullerene is a trivalent convex polyhedron with pentagonal and hexagonal faces.

Answer:

The carbon atoms in fullerene are arranged in mixed pentagons and hexagons.

Fullerenes have more than sixty atoms of Carbon in them, and they have more or less spheroid molecular shape.

One can call it an allotrope of carbon.

Primarily it was restricted to diamond and graphite, but in the later years, scientists discovered the C60 and C 70 fullerenes.

Their discovery increased the number of carbon allotropes.
