The cardboard shows me how it was

When the two girl cousins went paddling,

Each one holding one of my mother’s hands,

And she the big girl — some twelve years or so.

(i) Name the poem and the poet of these lines.

(ii) What does the word ‘cardboard’ denote?

(iii) Who were the two girls?

(iv) Who has been said to be the big girl? Why?
