Answer:

52 : 53

Step-by-step explanation:

Let cost price (CP) of the article be X rs.

For 4% profit ,

SP = CP + 4% of CP = 1.04X

For 6% profit ,

SP = CP + 6% of CP = 1.06X

It is given that cash differences between selling price is Rs 3.

==> 1.06X - 1.04X = 3

==> 0.02X = 3

==> X = 150

That is ,

Selling price of 1st article is 1.04X

= 1.04 × 150 = 156. Rs

and selling price of 2nd article is 1.06X

= 1.06 × 150 = 159 Rs

Therefore ,

the ratio of selling prices

= 156 / 159

= 52 / 53

= 52 : 53

➡️Another shortcut method ,

Let the Cost price of article is Rs X

Required ratio ,

= ( 104 % × X ) / ( 106% × X )

= (104) / (106)= 52/53 = 52 : 53
