★ HYDROGENATION :-

→ It is a chemical reaction in which double bond or triple bond of Hydrocarbons is reduced by H2 ( convert it from unsaturated to saturated alkene )

★ Catalyst takes part in hydrogenation are Nickel, Zinc , platinum , palladium.

★ The catalyst involved in hydrogenation of oils is NICKEL.

★ After hydrogenation Vegetable oils is converted into Vanaspati ghee.

★ Catalyst Nickel here, used to speed up the reaction .
