Muscle cramp is an involuntary sudden contraction of muscle. Muscle cramps are caused due to over usage of muscle i.e. long run, rapid exercise etc. Cramps are also caused due to dehydration, muscle strain, holding in position for a long time. After a strenuous exercise muscles experience lack of oxygen.
