it is so because the cell membrane is the outer layer of the cell and it helps in the movement of substances in and out the cell and also helps in keeping everything inside the cell intact

A cell membrane is also known as semipermeable membrane it allows only the substances which are useful to the cell to enter into the cell if it is ruptured or damaged all the bacteria and other extras of just got into the cell and damages to sale due to which we get viruses are spread of diseases
