cellulose

Composition. In the primary (growing) plant cell wall, the major carbohydrates are cellulose, hemicellulose and pectin. The cellulose microfibrils are linked viahemicellulosic tethers to form the cellulose-hemicellulose network, which is embedded in the pectin matrix.
