The center of the circle is (-4, 2) if one end of the diameter is (-3, 7). Find the other end with explanation pls.

\huge\rm\underline\orange{Answer :-}

\sf Given\begin{cases} &\sf{Center\;of\;the\; circle \; =\be{(-4,2)}}\\&\sf{One\;end\;of\;the\;diameter\; =\bf{(-3,7)}}\end{cases}\\ \\

\pink\bold{Let\: x= \:-4 \:and \:y \:= \:2}

\pink\bold{Let\: x1 = \:-3\: and\: y1\: =\: 7}

\red{\underline\bold{To\:Find,}}

  • Other end of the diameter = ❓
  • i.e x2 and y2 =❓

\blue{\underline\bold{Using\:the\:formula,}}

\boxed{ \sf \purple{ M(x,y)\: =\: [\frac{x1+x2}{2}\:, \frac{y1+y2}{2} \;]}}

⇒(-4,2) =  \;[\frac{ -3+x2}{2}\:,\frac{7+y2}{2}]

 \frac{ -3+x2}{2} = -4

⇒-3 + x2 = -8

⇒x2 = -8 + 3

⇒x2 = -5

\blue{\underline\bold{And,}}

\frac{7+y2}{2} = 2

⇒7 + y2 = 4

⇒y2 = 4 - 7

⇒y2 = -3

\pink{\underline\bold{ ∴ \:The\:other\:end\:of\:the\: diameter\: is \: (-5,-3).}}
