Area of central hall = L× b
=18×12.5=225Meters
turn meters into centimeters
225×100=22500
area uncovered by carpet = 50CM.
Therefore area of carpet= 22500 - 50 = 22450
{ convert cm into meters } 22450/100=224.5
area uncovered = { area of central hall - area of carpet } = 225 - 224.5 = 0.5
uncovered portion = 0.5
