The central location of India at the head of the Indian ocean is considered of great significance because:
1. Due to it's strategic position. We will have an upper hand in case of any war.
2. Due to its vast coast line India can have more number of ports. That means increase in export and imports.
3. In monsoon season the moisture content of air flowing towards India get increased.
4. With less number of neighbouring countries due to presence of Indian Ocean there is less countries to deal with on border issues.
5. Indian fishermen more area as fishing ground and it will help to sustain Indian economy.
