the centre of a rectangular lawn of dimensions 50 X 40 m a rectangular plot has to be constructed so that area of the grass surrounding the pond would be 1184 m square find the length and the breadth of the pond

length =50x;breadth =40x
area = l×b 50x×40x=1184
2000x²=1184
x²=1184/2000=0.594
root of 0.594=0.77cm²
so length=50×0.77=38.5cm
breadth=30.8cm,answer.
