Explanation:

what is centroid.??

Centroid is a point on the triangle which is the centre of a triangle which is equidistant from all vertices and sides.

Formula for finding centroid:-

\bold{\boxed{x =  \frac{x1 + x2 + x3}{3}}}

\bold{\boxed{y =  \frac{y1 + y2 + y3}{3} }}

x =  \frac{6 + 8 + 10}{3}  =  \frac{24}{3}  = 8

y =  \frac{ - 1 + 3 - 5}{3}  =  - 1

Hence ,the centroid are (8,-1)

Additional information:-

  • The centroid of a triangle formed on the intersection of the median
  • The median will be in the ratio 2:1 where centroid formed.
