I see, people have already copied and pasted answers from google. And it's kind of funny. But let me tell you the real reason behind usage of on and in. My english teacher had once told us that usage of on and in here depends on how relaxed you are and also the structure of the sit where you lounge. Like if you just place yourself upright , you sit on it. And if you sit surrounded by supporting cushions or frames , you are sitting in it. Like seats of aeroplane , train or in driving seat of a car !
