The change in position is called displacement.

  • Displacement: It is defined as the difference between the two positions. It does not depend on the path taken. Its S.I unit meters. (m)
  • It is a vector quantity since it has both magnitude and direction.
  • The formula to find displacement is d  or s = final position - initial position. Where "d" and "s" are the displacement.
