Given:

The charge Q at the corners

To find:

The charge at corner value be

Solution:

As it is in equilibrium which means

F1+F2+F3=0

F1.cos45 - F1.sin45 - F2 +F3=0

Therefore

F1.cos45= F3

F2.sin45=-F2

Putting the charge

kq²/(√2a)²=-√kqQ√2/a²

q=-2√2Q

The charge value at equilibrium is -2√2Q
