The bhopal gas tragedy on 3 December 1984 , has no parallel in the industrial accident of the world . About 40 tonnes of methyl isocyanate gas leaked from the union carbide plant in Bhaopal ,Madya pradesh .About 3,000 people died and about 3,00,000 suffered from the disastrous effect of the massive gas poisoning.
