The land of Mathura is predominantly controlled, socially by the Jat community.

The Lok Sabha seat has been occupied by Jayant Singh, the known Jat leader of the area.

He contested the elections and won the seat to remain as a favorite of his Jat community, and therefore, his leadership has been intensified in a better way than what he has had earlier.
