It is true that a child is the first scientist. The children learn to talk,write walk on their own with a little help from their elders.

When I was a child I used to play with cotton. One day I accidentaly dropped the cotton in water.I was curious why did the water level not rise. That is when I discovered with the help of my father that when you drop a cotton ball into water, the water quickly creeps into all those tiny spaces between and inside the hollow cotton fibres. Once all the air has been replaced by water, a single cotton ball makes almost no difference to the water level in a glass.
