your question is incomplete .
A complete question is --------> the chloride of a solid metallic element contain 57.89% by mass of the element.the specific heat of the element is 0.0324 cal deg-1g-1.calculte the exact atomic mass of the element ?

solution :- % of metal in compound = 57.89 %
% of chlorine in compound = 100 - 57.89 = 42.11 %
∵ equivalent weight of metal = % of metal In compound/% of chlorine in compound × 100
={57.89/42.11 }× 100
= 48.8

∵ approximate atomic mass × specific heat = 6.4
approx atomic mass = 6.4/0.0324 = 197.53 [because given specific heat gravity of element is 0.0324 Cal/°C/g]

Now, valancy of element = approx atomic mass/equivalent weight
= 197.53/48.8 ≈ 4
so, actual atomic mass = equivalent weight × valancy
= 48.8 × 4
= 195.2 g/mol
