Hello Dear.

Here is the answer---

Mass of the Chlorine in the Chloride = 49.5 %

∴ Mass of the Metal = (100 - 49.5)%

   = 50.5%

∵ Equivalent Mass =  \frac{Mass of the Metal}{Mass of the Chlorine}  × 35.5

= (50.5/49.5) × 35.5

= 36.21

∴ Equivalent mass is 36.21

For the Valency,

∵ Atomic Mass of the Element × Specific Heat = 6.4

∴ Atomic mass of the Element = 6.4/0.056

= 114.28

∵ Valency = Atomic Mass/Equivalent Mass

   = 114.28/36.21

   = 3.16

   ≈ 3

∴ Valency of the Element is 3.

Hope it helps.
