Chola or rather the Chola-Chalukyas emerged as the most powerful Kings of South India. Not only South India but they extended over the entire east coast of India and overseas to Hamsavathy (now Bago or Pegu) region of Burma to Malaysia and Indonesia (Sri Vijaya empire) under their control.
