Explanation:

Chola or rather the Chola-Chalukyas emerged as the most powerful Kings of South India. Not only South India but they extended over the entire east coast of India and overseas to Hamsavathy (now Bago or Pegu) region of Burma to Malaysia and Indonesia (Sri Vijaya empire) under their control. Even today the East Coast of India is called Coramandel coast or which is another form for the Chola Mandala coast. Satavahanas are also equal or more powerful but their reign extended more into the western India and North western region beyond India. Western India identifies more with Satavahanas. And gloriest empire of South India is that of Vijaya Nagaraa under Krishnadevaraya and his minister Timmaraya when basic income of citizens rose multifold to beat the percapita income of the world.
