So in this let CD = x cm
Then AE × BE = CE × DE
ie. 14×3 = (x+3.5)×3.5
So x+3.5 = 14×3/3.5 => x+3.5 = 4×3
So x= 12 - 3.5 = 8.5. so CD = 8.5 cm
