the chyme that enters the small intestine is almost free from bacteria but acidic instead what is the reason behind this? how does bile helps to change in nature of the chyme

it is free from bacteria because HCl present in stomach kills bacteria those enter through food

chyme that enters small intestine is acidic because of the presence of hydrochloric acid ( Hcl) which is secreted by parietal cells of the stomach and presece of hcl is important for normal functioning of the enzymes which are present in stomach i.e. pepsinogen which becomes active to pepsin because of hcl as enzymes work optimum under narrow ph.

Bile contains bicarboantes that provide alkaline nature to the chyme and increase its ph so that enzymes if small intestine and pancrease can work.
