The net resistance between terminals A and B ?

Calculation:

First of all, you can see two plane wires (as shown in diagram).

  • Those plane wires will short-circuit the four R resistances. So, we will be left only with two terminal R resistances.

  • The middle four R resistances will be neglected.

  • Refer to the diagram.

 \therefore \: R_{eq} = R + R

 \implies \: R_{eq} = 2R

So, equivalent resistance will be 2R.
