(a) Radius of a circular grass lawn (without path) = 35 m  Area = πr2 = π (35)2 Radius of a circular grass lawn ( with path) = 35 + 7 = 42 m

then find the area of

first ,

circumference = 2 π r

=2×42×22/7

=12×22

=264

the width of path is 7 metre so ,

264×7 = 1848 metre square ,

therefore , the area of that path is 1848 m2
