Question :-

the circumference of a circle exceeds its diameter by 30 centimetre find the radius of the circle ?

Solution :-

Given :-

exceeds diameter of the circle = 30CM .

What to find here ?

we have to find the radius of the circle .

Now,

circumference of circle = 2πr

it is given that the circumference exceeds its diameter by 30 Cm.

so ,

2πr = d+30

∆ Note :- here the D denotes to the diameter and the R denotes to the radius .

2πr = 2r+30

=> 2r(π-1) =40

=> r(( 22/7)-1)=15

now we have to find the radius ,

r = 15 × (7/15)

r = 7 cm ( as the both 15 will be canceled )

Answer :-

hence the Radius is 7 cm
