To find -

• The radius(r) of the circle
• Area of the circle

Solution -

We know that,

$Circumference \: of \: circle = 2\pi \: r$

Putting the values we will get -

$10 = 2 \times 3.14 \times r$

$10 = 6.28 \times r$

$10 = \frac{628}{100} \times r$

$r = 10 \div \frac{628}{100}$

$r = 10 \times \frac{100}{628}$

$r = \frac{1000}{628}$

$r = 1.6(approx)$

Now,

$Area \: of \: circle = \pi {r}^{2}$

$Area \: of \: circle = 3.14 \times (1.6) {}^{2}$

$Area \: of \: circle = 3.14 \times 2.56$

$Area \: of \: circle = 8.0384$

Therefore radius of the circle is 1.6cm and area of the circle is 8.0384cm²
