Let radius of the circle = r cm

It is given that ,

circumference of the circle = 12.56 cm

2πr = 12.56 cm

r = 12.56/( 2π )

r = 6.28/π cm

Now ,

Area of the circle = π r²

A = π ( 6.28/π )²

A = ( 6.28 × 6.28 )/π

A = ( 6.28 × 6.28 × 7 )/22

A = 12.548 cm²

Circumference of circle = 12.56


2πR = 12.56


2 × 22/7 × R = 12.56

R = 12.56×7/44 = 1.99 cm


Therefore,


Area of circle = πR² = 22/7 × 1.99×1.99 = 87.1222/7 = 12.44 cm².
