Answer:

circumference=2πr

2πr = 17.6

πr = 8.8

r= 8.8/π

area = πr²

=8.8/π

=π×8.8/π×8.8/π

=77.44/π

π=22/7

24.64

so area is 24.64

Answer:

Area of circle is 24.61  {cm}^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

Circumference of circle is 17.6 cm

To find -

The area of circle

Solution -

As we know that,

Circumference of circle = 2 \times pi \times r

Put the given values in these formula we get

17.6 = 2\pi \times r

 \frac{17.6}{2\pi}  = r

 \frac{8.8}{\pi}  = r

The value of π is 3.14 .

 \frac{8.8}{3.14}  = r

r = 2.8

So,

Radius (r) is 2.8 cm.

Area of circle = \pi {r}^{2}

Put the value of r we get

Area of circle = \pi \times  {2.8}^{2}

Square means multiply the given values with itself twice.

Square of 2.8 is 7.84

Area of circle = \pi \times 7.84

The value of π is 3.14.

Area of circle = 3.14 \times 7.84

Area of circle = 24.61

Hence,

Area of circle is 24.61  {cm}^{2}
