Step-by-step explanation:

Circumference = 2πr = 31.4cm

== 2×3.14 × r = 31.4

== r = 5cm

Area = πr² = 3.14(5)² = 78.5cm²

To find : radius and area of  circle

Given : circumference of a circle is 31.4 \ cm

Solution :

  • We know that circumference of a circle is 31.4 \ cm .
  • Circumference of circle = 2\pi r

          31.4 = 2\times 3.14 \times r \\r = \frac{31.4}{2\times3.14 }  \\r = 5\ cm

  • Radius = 5\ cm
  • Area of circle = \pi r^{2}

                              = 3.14\times (5)^{2} \\=3.14\times 25\\= 78.5\ cm ^{2}

Hence , radius and area of  circle are 5\ cm and 78.5 \ cm ^{2} respectively .
