radius = D/2 = 7.7/2 = 3.85 cm

circumference = 2πr

= 2*22/7*3.85

= 169.4/7

= 24.2 cm

The value of the Circumference of the Circle is equal to 24.18 cm.

Given:

The diameter of the circle is 7.7 cm.

To Find:

The circumference of the circle.

Solution:

The relationship between the diameter, radius and circumference is:

             \fbox{\boldsymbol{Circumference=2\pi (Radius)=\pi (Diameter)}}

In the given question:

The diameter of the circle = 7.7 cm.

The Circumference of the circle = π × 7.7 = 3.14 × 7.7 = 24.18 cm

Therefore the value of the Circumference of the Circle comes out to be equal to 24.18 cm.
