Given:

The circumference of a cylindrical is 308 cm.

Its width is 30cm.

Find:

Liters of water can it hold

Solution:

The circumference of the cylindrical vessel is 308 cm.

Circumference => 2πr

=> 2πr = 308

=> 2 × (22/7) × r = 308

=> r = 308 × 1/2 × (7/22)

=> r = 154 × 7/22

=> r = 7 × 7

=> r = 49cm

Radius of the cylindrical is 49cm.

Now,

Volume of cylindrical => πr²h

=> [ (22/7) × 49 × 49 × 30 ] cm³

=> (22 × 7 × 49 × 30) cm³

=> (154 × 49 × 30) cm³

=> 226380 cm³

Hence, it can hold 226.380 L.

Important Information:

Diameter of a Circle D = 2 × r

Circumference of a Circle C = 2 × π × r

Area of a Circle A = π × r2

Where,

  • r denotes the radius of the circle.
  • d indicates the diameter of the circle.
  • c indicates circumference of the circle.

I hope it will help you.

Regards.
