Let r , h are radius and height of the

circular cylider ,

h = 7 cm ,

Volume of the cylider = 448π

π r² h = 448π

π r² × 7 = 448π

r² = ( 448π )/( π × 7 )

= 64

r = √64 = 8 cm

i ) Lateral surface area = 2πrh

= 2 × 22/7 × 8 × 7

= 352 square cm

ii ) Total surface area = 2πr( h + r )

= 2× 22/7 × 8 [ 7 + 8 ]

= ( 2 × 22 × 8 × 15 ) / 7

= 5280/7

≈ 754.28 square cm

Correct Question :--- the circumference of base a right circular cylinder is 448 and its height is 5 cm find the lateral surface area of the cylinder ?

Formula used :---

circumference of cylinder is in the form of a circle whose circumference is given by = 2πr . ( where r is the radius of the cylinder).

→ lateral surface area of the cylinder is = ( 2πr )*h or = circumference of base * Height .

_____________________________

Solution :---

→ Lateral surface area of the cylinder is = ( 2πr )*h or = circumference of base * Height

→ LSA = 448 * 5

→ LSA = 2240cm² .

Hence, LSA of cylinder will be 2240cm².
