Let the radius of circle = r
Daimeter = 2 × radius
= 2r

circumference of circle = 2πr

It is given that circumference of circle exceeds it's diameter by 16.8 cm

so,

circumference - daimeter = 16.8 cm
2πr - 2r = 16.8 cm

By putting π = 22/7

2 × 22/7 × r - 2r = 16.8cm
= 22/7 ×r - r = 8.4 cm
= r ( 22/7 - 1 ) = 8.4 cm
= r × 15/7 = 8.4
= r = 8.4 ×7/15
= r = 3.92

circumference of the circle = 2πr

2 × π × 3.92 cm

By putting π = 22/7

= circumference = 2 × 22/7 × 3.92 cm

= circumference = 24.64 cm
