Given :-

Circumference of a circle = 44 cm

Perimeter of square = 44 cm

To Find :-

Whose area is larger and by how much

Solution :-

We know that

Circumference = 2πr

44 = 2πr

44 = 2 × 22/7 × r

44 = 44/7 × r

44 × 7/44 = r

7 = r

Perimeter = 4 × side

44 = 4 × side

44/4 = side

11 = side

Area of circle = πr²

Area = 22/7 × (7)²

Area = 22/7 × 49

Area = 22 × 7

Area = 154 cm²

Area of square = side²

Area = (11)²

Area = 121 cm²

Hence

Area of circle is greater by (154 - 121) 33 cm
