Circumference= 2π r = 440 cm,

Height = h= 5 cm,

So, lateral area = 2π r* h ,

= circumference* height,

= 440*5,

= 2200 cm².

NOW, THAT'S THE CORRECT ANSWER.

Given,

Circumference of circle = 440 cm

Height of cylinder = 5 cm

we know that

circumference =2\pi r

440 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times r

r = 440 \times  \frac{7}{44}

r = 70cm

Now we have,

laterl \: surface \: area = 2\pi rh

 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 70 \times 5

 =  {2200cm}^{2}
