Given:- Circumference of edges of bowl is 132cm.

To Find:- Curved surface area of bowl.

Formula:-

  • circumference of hemispherical bowl = 2πr
  • curved surface area = 2πr²

Solution :-

➸ \sf Circumference \: of \: hemisphere = 132cm

 \sf \: 2\pi r = 132cm

 \sf2 \times  \dfrac{22}{7}   \times r = 132cm

 \sf \: r =  \dfrac{132 \times 7}{2 \times 22}

 \sf \: r =  \dfrac{924}{44} cm

 \sf \boxed{ \boxed{ \sf{r  = 21cm}}}

Then, radius(r) of hemispherical bowl is 21cm

 \sf Curved \: surface \: area \:  = 2\pi \: r {}^{2}

 \sf \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  = 2  \times \dfrac{22}{7}  \times 21 \times 21 \: cm {}^{2}

\sf \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  = \dfrac{44}{7}  \times 441cm {}^{2}

\sf \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =44 \times 63cm {}^{2}

\sf \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \boxed{ \boxed{  \purple{\sf=2772cm {}^{2} }}}

 \bf \therefore \underline{Curved \: surface \: area \: of \: bowl \: is \: 2772cm {}^{2} }
