  • Given circumference of the base of solid cone is 33m

We know that the circumference of a circle is given by 2πr

So,

 =  >  \red{2\pi \: r = 33m} \\  \\  =  >  \red{2 \times  \frac{22}{7} \times r = 33 } \\  \\  =  >    \red{r =  \frac{33 \times 7}{44} } \\  \\  =  > \red{ r =  \frac{231}{44}  }\\  \\  =  >   \red{r = 5.2}

Radius = 5.2 m

Now we need to calculate out the slant height (l). if the cone

We have ,height = 16m

radius = 5.2

l= ?

   \bold{by \: applying \: Pythagoras \: theorem \: we \: can \: find \: slant \: height \:}

 =  > l ^{2}  = b ^{2}  + h ^{2}  \\  \\  =  > l =  \sqrt{5.2 ^{2}  + 16 ^{2} } \\  \\  =   > l = \sqrt{27.04 + 256}  \\  \\ =   > l = 15.8 \: m

We have calculated the slant height and radius of the cone now the we are in the position to find out the TSA which is as follows

  =  > TSA \:  = \pi \: r(r + l) \\  \\  =  >TSA \:  =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 5.2(5.2 + 15.8)

 =  > TSA \:  = 3.14 \times 5.2 \times 21 \\  \\  =  >    \huge{\boxed{\boxed{ \red{TSA \:  = 342.8m ^{2} }}}}

From this above calculation we find the Total surface Area if the circular come is 342.8
