The circumference of the base of a 12m high wooden solid cone is 44m. Find its volume

circumference =2 πr
44 = 44/7 × r
r = 7 cm

volume of wooden solid cone = πr²h/3
= 22/7 (7)² x 12/3
=22 x 7 x 4
=22 x 28
=616 cm²

The circumference of the cone is 44m

Height of the cone 12m

Let's think the radius is r


We know that circumference of the cone is 2πr

Now,

2πr = 44

or, 2× 22/7 × r = 44

or, r = 44 × 7/22 × 2

or, r = 7

The volume of a cone is 1/3πr^2h

So the volume should be= 1/3 × 22/7 × 7× 7 × 12

The volume is = 616m^3


Then the answer is 616m^3
