Answer:

c = 88 m, h = 15 m

V = ?

V = 1/3*pi*r^2*h

c = 88 = pi*d

d= 88 * 7/22

=> 28 cm

therefore r = 14 cn

V = 1/3*22/7*14*14*15

=> 3080 cu m Answer

Solution:

Base of cone is a circle.

Now, it is said that circumference of the base of a 15 m high conical tent is 88 m.

Circumference of the base of cone i.e. circle = 2πr

88 = 2 * 22/7 * r

(88 * 7)/(2 * 22) = r

r = (88 * 7)/44

r = 2 * 7

r = 14 m

Radius, r = 14 m

Height, h = 15 m

We will take out volume of cone to find out air contained in it.

Volume \ of \ cone, V = \frac{1}{3} \pi r^{2} h = \frac{1}{3} * \frac{22}{7} * 14^{2} * 15 =  \frac{22}{7} * 196 * 5 = 22 * 28 * 5 = 3080 \ m^{3}

The volume of air contained in it is 3080 m³
