height of cone(h) = 24 m

let radius be r

circumference of base =44 m

=). 2πr = 44

=) r = 44/2π = 22/π = 22 × 7 / 22 = 7m

slant height of cone(l) = √( r^2 + h^2)

= √ (24)^2 + 7^2]

=√ 625 = 25 m

so curved surface area = πrl

= 22/7 ×7 × 25

=22×25

= 550 sq.m

Answer:

curved surface area of the cone = 550 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

The circumference of the base of cone = 44 m

                             height of the cone h = 24 m

here we need to find the curved surface area of the wooden cone

from given data the circumference of the base 2πr = 44

                                                          2(\frac{22}{7} ) (r) = 44

                                                                  \frac{44}{7} r = 44

                                                                     r  = 7 m

⇒ Radius of the cone = 7 m

now find the slant height of the cone

   slant height of the cone l = √(h²+r²)

                                              = √ (24²+7²)

                                              = √625  = 25

curved surface area of the cone = π r l

                                                      = \frac{22}{7} (7) (25)

                                                      = 550 m²
