Given :-

  • Circumference of the base of a cylindrical vessel = 132 cm
  • Height of cylindrical vessel = 25 cm

To find :-

  • Water hold by vessel in liter

Solution :-

According to question

Circumference of base = 2πr

→ 132 = 2πr

→ πr = 132/2

→ πr = 66

→ 22/7 × r = 66

→ r = 66 × 7/22

→ r = 3 × 7 = 21 cm

Now, volume of cylindrical vessel

→ πr²h

→ 22/7 × 21 × 21 × 25

→ 22 × 3 × 21 × 25

→ 34650 cm³

  • 1000cm³ = 1 liter
  • 34650cm³ = 34.65 L

Hence,

  • Water hold by cylindrical vessel is 34.65L

Extra Information

  • Area of rectangle = length × breadth
  • Area of square = side × side
  • Perimeter of square = 4 × side
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)
  • Area of rhombus = ½ × product of diagonals
  • Area of Parallelogram = base × height
  • Area of trapezium = ½ × sum of parallel sides × height

Step-by-step explanation:

Circumference = 2π r

132= 2 × 22/7 r

132 = 44/7 r

132 × 7 /44 = r

42 = r

r= 42

volume = π r^2 h

V= 22/7 42 × 42 × 25

V = 22/7 1764 × 25

V = 138474 cm^ 3
