the circumference of the base of a cylinder is 176cm and its hieght is 65 cm find the volume and C.S.A. of the cylinder

Let Radius of the cylinder be r

Here given that Circumference of the Base = 2\pi r = 176 cm

Also, height of the cylinder is 65 cm

We know that CSA of Cylinder = Circumference of base × height or  (2πrh)

= 176 × 65

= 11440 cm²

Also, 2πr = 176

πr = 88

r = 88 × (7/22)

r = 28 cm

∴ Volume of the cylinder = πr²h

= (22/7)×28×28×65 = 137984 cm³

So CSA of Cylinder is 11440 cm² and Volume is 137984 cm³
