Answer: The volume of the cylinder is 13860cm^3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

circumference of the base of cylinder=66cm

Height of cylinder=40cm

Formula using

circumference of a circle=2πr

Where, r=Radius of circle

Volume of cylinder=πr^2

Solution

2πr=66cm

2x22/7xr=66cm

r=(3x7)/2cm

r=21/2cm

volume of cylinder=π(21/2cm)^2x40

22/7x441/4x40cm^3

220x63cm^3

13860cm^3

Therefore, The volume of the cylinder is 13860cm^3

Answer:

Circumference = 2πr

                   66 = 2 × 22/7 × r

                    r = 66 × 7/2

                    r = 10.5cm

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

                               = 22/7 × 10.5 × 10.5 × 40

                               = 22/7 × 4410

                               = 972020/7

                               = 13860cm³
