given:-

circumference of the base of the cylinder = 110cm

height of the cylinder = 20cm

to find the volume, first we needa know it's radius.

we know that the base of the cylinder is circular.

➡ 2πr = circumference

➡ 2 × 22/7 × r = 110cm

➡ 44/7 × r = 110cm

➡ r = 110 × 7/44

➡ r = 2.5 × 7

➡ r = 17.5cm

volume of the cylinder = πr²h

= 22/7 × 17.5 × 17.5 × 20

= 134750/7

= 19250cm³

now, we know that 1000cm³ = 1 litre

therefore 19250cm³ = 19250/1000

= 19.25 litres

hence, it can hold 19.25 litres

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Circumference of the base of the cylinder = 110 cm

Height of the cylinder = 20 cm

To find :-

The volume

Solution :-

we know that the base of the cylinder is circular.

So, 1st we will find radius

2πr = circumference

⇒ 2 × 22/7 × r = 110 cm

⇒ 44/7 × r = 110 cm

⇒  r = 110 × 7/44

⇒  r = 2.5 × 7

⇒  r = 17.5 cm

Volume of the cylinder = πr²h

= 22/7 × 17.5 × 17.5 × 20

= 19250 cm³

So, we will convert cm³ into letre

1000 cm³ = 1 litre

19250 cm³ = 19250/1000

= 19.25 litres.

Hence, it can hold 19.25 litres of water.
