The circumference of the base of a cylindrical vessel is 132 cm and its height is 25 cm. How many litres of water can it hold?

Answer given on back of the book is 34.65 litres.​

Circumference of the base of cylinder = 2πr as it is circular hence

2πr = 132 cm 2 × 22/7 × r = 132

therefore on solving this we get r = 21 cm

Now Volume of cylinder = πr^2 h

=22/7 × 21 × 21 × 25 ( as height is given to be 25 cm)

=36300cm^3

Now , 1 litre = 1000cm^3 hence 36300 cm^3 = 36.3 l

Therefore Answer is 36.3l .
