Given :-

  • The circumference of the base of a cylindrical vessel is 132 cm.

  • Its height is 25 cm.

To find :-

  • How many litres of water can it hold.

Solution :-

Circumference of base=2πr

The circumference of the cylindrical vessel is 132 cm.

According to the question,

→2πr = 132

→ 2 × (22/7) × r = 132

→ r = 132 × ½ × (7/22)

→ r = 21

Radius of the cylindrical vessel is 21 cm.

Volume of cylindrical vessel = πr²h

= [ (22/7) × 21× 21 × 25 ] cm³

= (22 × 3 × 21 × 25) cm³

\implies 34650 cm³

Converting 34650 into litres -

→ 34650/1000

\implies 34.65 L

\therefore The vessel can hold 34.65 Litres of water.

Answer:

Given:-

The circumference of the base of a cylindrical vessel is 132 cm and it's height is 25 cm .

To Find:-

  • How many litres of water can it hold .

Solution :-

The circumference of the base of cylindrical vessel is 132 cm.

We know that,

Circumference = 2πr

ATQ :-

2πr = 132

2 × \dfrac{22}{7} × r = 132

r = 132 × \dfrac{1}{2} × \dfrac{7}{22}

r = 66 × \dfrac{7}{22}

r = 21 cm

Now, we know that,

Volume = πr²h

We get,

  • r = 21 cm
  • h = 25 cm

\dfrac{22}{7} × (21)² × 25

\dfrac{22}{7} × 21 × 21 × 25

\dfrac{22}{7} × 11025

34650 cm³

Now, in question given that (1000 cm = 1L)

Then,

\dfrac{34650}{1000}

34.65 L

Therefore, 34.65 L of water can be hold.
