The circumference of the base of a cylindrical vessel is 44cm and its height is 7cm. Find the curved surface area of the vessel

Here circumference of base(circle) = 44cm

We know that :circumferene = 2 x 22/7 x Radius

=> 44 = 2 x 22/7 x R

=> 44 = 44/7 x R

=> 44/44 = 1/7 x R

=> 1 = 1/7 x R

=> 1 x 7 = R

=> R = 7CM

Height = 7cm

=>Csa of the vessel = csa of cylinder + area of the base

=> csa of vessel = 2 x 22/7 x radius x height + 22/7 x Radius^2

=>csa of vessel = 2 x 22/7 x 7 x 7 + 22/7 x 7 x 7

=>csa of vessel = 44 x 7 + 22 x 7

=>csa of vessel = 308 + 154

=>csa of a vessel= 462 sqcm
